Updated: Jan 4, 2021

Summit of leaders in Jerusalem פִּסְגַּת הַמַּנְהִיגִים בִּירוּשָׁלַיִם - pisgat hamanhigim bbeyrushalayim -

The year is 2020, and the world marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz - the concentration and extermination camp operated by the Nazis during WW2. The message is clear – There is no place for antisemitism ( אַנְטִישֵׁמִיּוּת antishemiut) in our society.

This event takes place in Israel and will be attended by more than 40 state leaders, prime ministers, presidents and princes from Europe, North America, and Australia. The event is being organized by the World Holocaust Forum Foundation in cooperation with "Yad Vashem" יָד וְשֵׁם - the official institution that commemorates the Holocaust in Israel, located in Jerusalem.

The historic event, under the title - "Remembering the Holocaust: Fighting Antisemitism" (לִזְכּוֹר אֵת הַשּׁוֹאָה - לְהִלָּחֵם בָּאַנְטִישֵׁמִיּוּת lizkor et hashoa, lehilac'hem baantishemiyut) takes place following the rise in hatred and antisemitism, especially in Europe. As a result of this alarming situation, efforts to educate about the dangers of anti-Semitism, and racism, and the importance of Holocaust commemoration and education, have made this event vital and relevant more than ever. Among the leaders: The President of Russia 🇷🇺 ( רוּסְיָה rusia) Vladimir Putin

The Vice President of The United States 🇺🇸 ( אַרְצוֹת הַבְּרִית artzot habrit) Mike Pence

President of France 🇫🇷 (צָרפְתְּ tzarfat) Emmanuel Macron

President of Germany 🇩🇪 (גֶּרְמָנְיָה germania) Frank-Walter Steinmeier

President of Italy 🇮🇹 (אִיטַלְיָה) Sergio Mattarella

President of Austria 🇦🇹 (אוֹסְטְרִיָּה ostriya) Alexander Van der Bellen and his Royal Highness Prince Of Wales Charles,

Also - Presidents of Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Prime Ministers of Czechia, Denmark, Sweden and Kings of Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, and Spain.

The goal of the Holocaust was to completely eradicate all Jews in the world and to eradicate Jewish culture and history. The Nazis were driven by extreme racial antisemitism.

Following World War II crimes, the international community enacted universal principles and established international organizations with the purpose of preventing future crimes against humanity.

Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin and the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and museum are hosting the Fifth World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem.
